ASV Travel Awards

Travel award applications are now open! You can apply through your membership account or by clicking the button below. Students and postdocs submit an abstract first and provide the abstract ID. Only applicants who are the presenting authors on the abstract are eligible to apply for a travel award.
Not an ASV Member? You can apply here. You must submit your application by February 1, 2024 in order to apply for an ASV Student or Postdoc Travel Award. Membership is not required for Teacher of Undergraduate Virology awards.
ASV Global Scholar Travel Award

ASV has established the Global Scholar Travel Award to provide financial support for talented virologists working around the world to attend and present their work at the ASV annual meeting. This award is for Global Virology Scholars to attend the annual ASV meeting, covering up to $3,000 in expenses.
Eligibility
- To be eligible, applicants must be performing research activities in low to middle income countries as defined by Wellcome using criteria from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
- Previous ASV Global Scholar awardees are eligible to apply, but an individual can only receive the award every other year.
- The award is open to scientists at all academic levels, but preference will be given to those who are at a level equivalent to Assistant Professor and who present their work at this meeting.
